We want to have fun, make friends, and learn the game of Kings.
We play every Friday night at St. John Lutheran Church, in the Administration Center.
St. John’s Lutheran is located at the intersection of Spring Cypress and Huffmeister.
Enter parking on the Spring Cypress side of the campus.
We start at 7:00 pm and play three rounds of chess and finish by 9:00 – 9:30.
- We divide the players in to sections by ability.
- We award trophies to the winner of each section.
- We help you join the US Chess Federation as soon as you arrive.
- We allow adults to play, but we reserve the trophies for the scholastic players.
- We charge $5 to play and $10 /year to join US Chess Federation as a Scholastic Member.
Visitors are welcome.
Come and watch. If you don’t want to play, you can always watch. We don’t mind. Please don’t comment on the game or distract the players. If you arrive before competition begins, someone will play you for fun only.
